ZOOM KAL - Saturdays in April from 10:00 - 12:00
I always love knitting with you on the same project and seeing all the amazing color combinations you come up with. So I decided to get the shop a Zoom account and start trying to do some projects together. Are you interested? The first one "BEE A QUEEN" will start on April 2nd. I have picked out 3 colors of Dream In Color Cosette that I can't wait to start on! Would love some feedback from you as to whether I should start in advance or wait for us all to start together. Jennie has offered to run the Zoom meeting (She has lots of experience with Zoom because she represents Forever photos. If you have photos to organize/save, I recommend you ask her about it.) but I will be here in the shop too. I just need to wait on customers so I didn't want you to feel alone at times. I have seats in the shop for 5 (first to sign up basis) if you would like to work on the project here. Or, join us from the comfort of your home to knit on this lovely shawl. The designer, Chic and Regal Knits will visit with us at some point to answer any questions that come up. Been chatting with her for a couple months now and she is super friendly. Be sure to check out her other patterns. She donates a portion of each pattern sold to dog shelters. Annnnnd....there will be a great PRIZE to win as well! To qualify for the prize, you must purchase the pattern and yarn through me, join us on the zoom meetings and finish the shawl by April 30th to show off on LYS day! What perfect timing!
LOCAL YARN SHOP day is just around the corner! I appreciate your loyalty every day of the year...but especially on LYS day! Thank you so much for your support! I will have some special yarns for this day and also a few door prizes.
My "Short Notice" hat is now available to purchase. I used 2 different colors of Spincycle - Dyed In The Wool yarn. Purchasing 2 hanks will get you 2 hats. You can reverse the colors like I did in that first and last photo. This hat is easier than it looks.
Did you know Anne Frank was a knitter? On September 21st Anne wrote in her diary "Starting a white wool sweater." So every year, on September 21st, we cast on white wool sweaters. Most of us do baby sweaters and donate them in Anne's honor to Pregnancy Help Clinic in Brighton. But you can knit a sweater for yourself or anyone you like. Wonder how many white wool sweaters we can cast on this year? Would love to have you stop by the shop to cast on. This year the 21st is on a Wednesday...so I will be in from 10-6, to snap a picture of you casting on. If you can't make it in to cast on, maybe someone could take your picture and you could text/email it to me? I have some really nice DK weight white wool in. I have a free baby pattern on my website that you are welcome to use. Please join us for this annual event!
