Ready for the next step on your sock? Busy day with knit classes today from 10-12 and 6-8 but I was able to get 75 rows for the top of my sock finished.
Next step. Work 16 stitches in pattern. Turn and work heel flap as follows:
Row 1(WS): Slip 1, purl 31. Turn
Row 2: *Slip 1, K1, repeat from * to end. Turn
Repeat row 1 and 2 for a total of 32 rows. Or desired length on heel.
Turn heel:
Row 1: Slip 1, purl 17, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 2: Slip 1, knit 5, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 3: Slip 1, purl 6, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 4: Slip 1, knit 7, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 5: Slip 1, purl 8, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 6: Slip 1, knit 9, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 7: Slip 1, purl 10, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 8: Slip 1, knit 11, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 9: Slip 1, purl 12, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 10: Slip 1, knit 13, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 11: Slip 1, purl 14, p2 tog, p1, turn.
Row 12: Slip 1, knit 15, k2 tog, k1, turn.
Row 13: Slip 1, purl 16, p2 tog, turn.
Row 14: Slip 1, knit 16, k2 tog. (18 stitches)
With spare needle, pick up 16 stitches along heel flap - Needle #1. Work in pattern across next 32 stitches = Needle #2. With spare needle, pick up 16 stitches along other side of heel flap, then knit 9 stitches from heel = Needle #3. (25 stitches) Slip last 9 stitches of heel on to Needle #1. (25 stitches).
